Hunger of the Pine was drawn after I had visited my father in Reno, Nevada. He was in poor health and this drawing revealed my sadness, as well as remembering the joyful times we shared in Lake Tahoe when I was young. The smell of the pines always remind me of my father and more often than not, I hunger for them.
